Law Enforcement Guidelines
How authorized agencies submit valid legal process to iBeor · Effective September 17, 2026
Effective: September 17, 2026
iBeor respects user privacy and cooperates with properly authorized law-enforcement requests and valid legal process. Identifying yourself as law enforcement is not enough for disclosure. Requests must be authenticated and legally valid. We do not provide account information automatically.
1. Submitting a Law Enforcement Request
Authorized law-enforcement officials should email a complete request to safety@ibeor.com (monitored safety channel also used for child-safety / NCMEC cooperation). Include:
- Agency name
- Officer / agent name
- Badge or identification number (where applicable)
- Official agency contact information and government / law-enforcement email address
- Telephone number and jurisdiction
- The iBeor account or user under investigation
- Identifiers available (for example registered email, telephone number, user ID, or profile information)
- Specific records requested and relevant date range
- Applicable legal authority and supporting documentation (subpoena, court order, warrant, or other valid legal process where required)
Vague requests for “all information” will not be processed. Scope requests to what the legal process authorizes.
2. Legal Process
The type of legal process required depends on the information requested, the jurisdiction, and applicable law. Examples include:
- Subpoenas
- Court orders
- Search warrants
- Preservation requests
- Other legally valid government demands
iBeor evaluates each request according to applicable law and responds only as required or permitted. Submission of a request does not guarantee production of records.
3. Emergency Requests
If you are facing an immediate emergency, contact your local emergency services first (for example 911 in the United States).
Where law enforcement believes there is an imminent threat of death or serious physical injury, email safety@ibeor.com with “EMERGENCY” in the subject line and include:
- Identification of the emergency and nature of the threat
- Whose safety is at risk
- Why the requested information is necessary
- Requester credentials and official contact details as listed above
Emergency requests are reviewed manually by authorized staff. We do not operate an automated public disclosure portal.
4. Preservation Requests
Legally valid preservation requests may be honored in accordance with applicable law so that relevant records are not deleted pending formal legal process. Preservation does not itself authorize disclosure.
5. User Notification
Where legally permitted, and where notification would not interfere with an investigation or create a recognized safety risk, iBeor may notify users about requests for their information. We will not notify when prohibited by valid legal process, applicable law, or where notification could create a legally recognized emergency or safety concern.
6. Information That May Be Available
Depending on what is retained for the account and what applicable law / legal process authorizes, categories may include:
- Account registration information (for example email or phone used to register)
- Profile information and account identifiers
- Account activity information and device-related signals where retained
- User-generated content (for example photos or profile media)
- In-app communications where legally available and retained
- Reports and moderation records where retained
Availability depends on what exists for the specific account and retention at the time of the request. We do not promise production of records we do not possess.
7. Payment Information
Purchases may be processed by third-party providers such as Apple, Google, Stripe, or PayPal. Full payment-card data is handled by those providers, not stored by iBeor as complete card numbers. Some billing metadata may exist in our systems or must be sought directly from the relevant payment provider under appropriate legal process.
8. International Requests
Requests from authorities outside the United States may require appropriate international legal process (for example mutual legal assistance) or other legally valid mechanisms under applicable law. iBeor evaluates such requests accordingly.
9. Child Safety / Exploitation
iBeor is an 18+ platform and cooperates with law enforcement and organizations such as NCMEC on child-safety matters. See our dedicated Child Safety page. Do not use this Law Enforcement page as a substitute for urgent local emergency response.
